MDW-Law insurance group is a One Stop Insurance Broker and Risk Management Consultant that caters to the needs of attorneys and law firms. Our executive team is comprised of attorneys and insurance professionals with over 30 years of experience assisting lawyers with the business of law. We understand the challenges of managing a law practice and the limited time that a firm manager has available to dedicate to risk management duties.

MDW-Law Insurance Group takes a holistic approach to service. We begin with a review of your firm’s business operations including practice areas and structure. We review your policies and benefits and recommend various products your firm should carry. We work closely with insurance companies to manage and monitor claims. In addition, we provide CLE approved training to lawyers and firm managers on strategies to avoid claims, and handle claim situations should they arise.

• Gary Reshefsky, Esq. Gary Reshefsky joined the MDW Insurance Group in 2008. Prior to joining MDW, Gary was the Director of Risk Management at USI Insurance Services. Gary’s primary role at USI was brokering insurance programs for law firms. His clients included some of the most prestigious law firms in Florida. In addition to his Florida based work, Gary has worked as a broker in the London and Chicago insurance markets. Gary is a member of the Florida Bar, and practiced law at Greenberg Traurig in Miami from 2001 to 2004. He earned a JD and MBA from the University of Miami in 1999, and a Bachelor in Business Administration from The George Washington University in 1996. Gary is active with the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. His community involvement includes leadership roles with the Miami Children’s Museum, City of Miami, and the University of Miami.
• Craig Weinstein Craig Weinstein joined the MDW-LAW Group as a partner in 2009. Prior to joining MDW-LAW, he held the position of Senior Vice President at USI Insurance Services, one of the largest privately held Insurance Brokerage firms in the US. While at USI, Craig developed and oversaw a large client base that included Law Firms and other Professional Services Firms, as well as Hospitality, Real Estate and Retail & Wholesale Distribution.
  
  Widely known as an architect of insurance programs, Craig's unique consultative, risk management approach includes a diagnostic review of a client’s Property and Casualty, Employee Benefits, Executive Benefits, and Human Resources programs.
  
  Craig is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a degree in Finance. He has over 12 years of experience as an insurance advisor and currently holds the designation as a Certified Insurance Counselor- CIC.
• Gary Farbish Gary Farbish joined the MDW-LAW insurance group in 2009. Gary has over 30 years of experience providing consultative service to law firm clients in the area of Employee Benefits and Commercial insurance. Gary has held various senior roles for local Independent Agencies and National Brokerage firms. Prior to becoming a partner in the MDW Insurance Group, Gary served as Vice President of USI, overseeing $60 million of commercial premium for the Tri-County area. Gary bases his strategy on a consultative approach and breaks from the transactional model to create true customer-centric offerings. Throughout his career he has had extensive experience working with professional firms, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, not-for-profit associations, large real estate developers and high net worth personal lines clients to provide best in class solutions.
  
  Gary is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Insurance Risk Management and Finance. He is Past President of the Independent Agents Association of Dade County. He is a leader in the Coral Gables and Greater Miami Chambers of Commerce, Easter Seals of South Florida, Business Network International, and has served on the Florida Bar Grievance Committee. Gary is a Miami native, married with 2 children and 3 step children. He is passionate about working out and loves football.
